WAKABA was founded in Düsseldorf in 2018 with the goal of making high-quality Japanese matcha more accessible to businesses and consumers across Europe.
Today, our work spans sourcing and supplier coordination in Japan, European wholesale supply and daily product use through our own locations in Germany. This combination gives us practical insight into matcha quality, preparation, customer preferences and commercial applications.

Our Japanese-led team works with trusted tea producers, manufacturers and established tea companies across Japan. WAKABA Japan supports sourcing, supplier coordination and communication with our Japanese partners.
Rather than offering one matcha for every application, we select products according to flavour, colour, intended use, required volume and target price. This allows us to recommend suitable options for cafés, manufacturers, brands and wholesale partners.
