Preparation for Pure Matcha
Sift approximately 2g of matcha into a bowl. Add 60–70ml of warm water at approximately 70–80°C and whisk briskly until smooth with a fine layer of foam.
Using water that is too hot may increase bitterness and reduce the matcha’s natural sweetness and umami.
Preparation for a Premium Matcha Latte
Sift approximately 2–3g of matcha into a bowl or cup. Add 30–50ml of warm water at approximately 70–80°C and whisk until smooth. Combine with around 180–220ml of milk or a plant-based alternative.
Adjust the amount of matcha according to the size of the drink and the desired intensity.
